We provide a relaxing and memorable vacation for children and adults alike. The sea air is invigorating and it has its own bay for water sports and beach access. We are more than a mile from any other accommodation; rolling farm land stretches away on the land side of the hotel.

Shaw’s Hotel is a country Inn, opened on the family’s pioneer farm in 1860. Four generations later, our strength is still very clean, quiet and comfortable accommodations, rooms decorated in the traditional Prince Edward Island style, an excellent restaurant, good service and friendly hospitality.

Our three-story main lodge has 14 rooms and small suites. The original farmhouse is now a suite with a large sitting room, a fireplace and antique furnishings.

Twenty-five charming cottages surround the Inn, some with one bedroom, some with as many as four. Many cottages feature whirlpool spa or hot tub, fireplace, full kitchen, and cable TV. High speed internet is available. These cottages are fully winterized and are available year round. The Hotel can offer an all-inclusive meal plan where breakfast and dinner are included.
There’s a lot for kids to do in the area. They can run and play on the beach with little supervision and we also have a playground and special children’s programs all summer, with hayrides, singsongs, and an art program.

We offer a children’s menu and three evenings a week, we provide a children’s entertainment program, allowing parents to have dinner while the kids have their own fun.
Shaw’s Restaurant cuisine is characterized as French Country. Our chef is very helpful in preparing meals for special diets.

Hotel guests enjoy breakfast with fresh berries of the season, eggs, meats, homemade muffins, hot coffee and a morning paper. We maintain a kitchen garden for the freshest greens and herbs.

Dinner at Shaw’s is an informal occasion. Our servers are relaxed and friendly and our chef will delight you. Our wine cellar is becoming deeper and broader each year.
The beach is just a five-minute walk through a shady lane. You can also cycle, canoe or kayak on the bay. There are eight 18-hole championship golf courses within a half an hour drive. Tennis is nearby, as well as deep-sea fishing, tuna fishing and harness racing. There are waterslides, go-cart tracks, wildlife and amusement parks for the children. The hotel provides a large safe playground and many playmates.

Two of the Island’s main attractions are the Charlottetown Summer Festival and “Anne of Green Gables”. We can make your theatre arrangements for you.
Shaw’s Hotel offers Memorable Occasion and Golf packages. We also offer a unique and private setting for meetings, conventions, wedding and reunions, with capacity for seating 125 and stand up receptions of 150.
