 Briarcliffe Inn has been home to great hospitality since 1916 and innkeepers Mary & Bill Kendrick have continued the tradition since restoring the century farmhouse in 2001. Located in the beautiful countryside of the Island’s south shore, the Inn is just a short walk from a private beach and a beautiful cove with over a million oysters. Our guests tell us they’ve never felt more welcome, gotten such a sound sleep and been better fed. It’s why we’re ranked among the Island’s top B&B’s on Trip Advisor. And if you’re looking for a truly unique vacation, we offer more than twenty authentic Island experiences including oyster or lobster fishing, clam digging, chocolate making and sand sculpting. At Briarcliffe, we have gone to extra lengths to ensure you experience the peace and quiet many of our guests are looking for as a way to unwind from their busy lives. Our beds are so comfortable we’ve actually had guests go out and buy one after staying with us. Each of our five guest rooms have private/ensuite bathrooms and are decorated with your peace and tranquility in mind. We pride ourselves on not putting televisions in our rooms so you can concentrate on rest and relaxation. And whether you go on one of our experiences or exploring on your own, Briarcliffe Inn is the perfect place to start your day. Every morning begins with the smell of fresh baking wafting up from the kitchen mingled with the intriguing aroma of our specially brewed coffee. Our breakfasts combine fresh fruit with homemade pastries followed by a tantalizing hot serving featuring gourmet dishes using free range eggs, locally produced preservative free meats and ingredients from our own organic garden. And no matter how long you stay with us, you’ll never have the same breakfast.
Many of our most precious memories have a connection to great food and there are many wonderful restaurants within half an hour of Briarcliffe Inn but if you’re interested in a truly unique culinary experience, you might want to consider allowing us to create something special for you.
